Michigan Campers on Mission
Sharing Christ "As We Go"
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
MICHIGAN COM
Michigan Campers on Mission (MI COM) focuses on mission projects in our state, but can also connect campers with opportunities throughout the United States. Whether you are a tent camper, an RVer, or a trailer camper; a seasonal camper, a weekend camper or a full-timer; a retired couple, young family or single individual; there is a role for you as a part of the COM family. There are no membership fees to join us in our mission.
Many mission opportunities are available for us to be a part of, such as: campground ministries; construction projects; maintenance and lawn work; sewing projects; helping small churches hold Vacation Bible School; minister to and supply help to individuals, and families in their times of need; provide needs for foster and refugee children; and much more.
MI COM labor and work on various mission projects throughout the year. We have a Michigan Rally in the spring and another in the fall. The rallies give us an opportunity to review and plan for the next year. We look to our members for fresh ideas and ways to reach into the lives of Michigan residents. Our members do not have to be retired, families with children are welcome. Regardless of your talents or experience, we have a role for you!
NATIONAL COM
National Campers on Mission (COM) is a fellowship of Christian campers who make it their mission of “Sharing Christ As We Go”. COMers share their faith and love of Jesus Christ through their participation in mission activities while camping.
Two characteristics of COMers are a love of the great outdoors and a love of sharing Jesus. These Christian campers are active members of local churches and have taken the Great Commission seriously. While enjoying the camping experience, they participate in mission projects including church planting, construction, disaster relief recovery, Backyard Bible Clubs, fairs and festivals, campgrounds, auto racing, parades, and truck stops, engaging in opportunities to tell others about Jesus.
COMers share Christ as we go on travels across the United States, assisting churches, church planters and associations in a variety of mission projects to help reach the local communities with the gospel of Christ. COMers are “on mission” Christians, sharing Christ through word and deed as we go.
A little more about Campers on Mission...
COM is family friendly, providing great ways for families to enjoy the relaxation of a vacation and the satisfaction of participating in a mission project. COM participate in short-term mission projects across the United States and Canada, using creative ways to combine their love for the outdoors with ministry.
