How would you like to take the Great Commission to the great outdoors? Maybe rethink retirement? Well, we have the perfect mission opportunity for you right here in Louisiana.
We are Christian believers who, in addition to serving in our home churches, provide maintenance and construction at seven of our beautiful camps and conference centers around the state of Louisiana. Young people are being won to the Lord in summer camps, and adults often participate in Christian discipleship at retreats.
Our group is called Campers on Mission. But let me say right here, very few of us have RVs. The majority of our members stay in motel-like accommodations or cabins that are available at the camps free of charge. For those who do own RVs, full hookups are provided at each camp.
Our tasks range from cleaning, sewing, painting, electrical and plumbing to carpentry and construction. We have a very special bond with each other as we work side by side and feel we are making an important contribution to God’s work. We are improving the facilities and grounds and removing small obstacles that may become distractions to experiencing God while at camp.
Everything we do provides an opportunity for somebody to come to know the Lord.
